Developer Reaps while Village Sleeps

AptosVillage.Org is an organization of concerned citizens that are motivated to positively influence the evolution of our community. The Aptos community attendance to the Aptos Village Planning meetings has been minimal at best. Attempts to get the community's input have been limited to small ads and quiet announcements.Very few people have shown up to voice their views on responsible Growth for Aptos village.

The primary reason for the existence of Aptos Village.Org is to inform the community about the zoning change process currently underway. If community involvement is sparse, It takes very little for zoning changes to be quickly approved. We hope to use the communication power of the internet and email to inform the community of the pending zoning changes in order to get the majority of the Aptos community heard. Learn More...

Public forum & agenda topics are sometimes announced softly...
Have you heard of the proposed zoning changes for Aptos Village?
Were you aware of a proposal to add up to 400 bedrooms?
What will a concrete parking garage add to the village ambiance?

It takes so little for zoning changes to be approved. In some cases when there is limited or very little participation from the community changes are quietly implemented and community members are left shouting "what happened" once they see the bulldozers, by then it's too late, the time for community involvement has passed.

Let's not let that happen in Aptos!
We can prevent the board of supervisors of which there are only 5 from getting together and quietly approving changes that could adversely affect the quality of life in Aptos Village and the surrounding community.

Get the majority heard, join us and pass this site to your neighbors and other community members. We can make a difference!
The planned development's financial benefit to a few will impact the community at large in a major way.

Make the elected officials aware that we community members want to be informed of proposed zoning changes, and let them know the majority want's to be heard on the issue of what is responsible growth for the Aptos Village area.
